What is it about the sight of an attractive girl that makes me hungry?
Not hungry in the traditional sense. I had steak and eggs for breakfast and my appetite for love is a little on the dark side.
I mean hungry for life. That carnal desire to follow my bliss and do all the things I say I’ll do but never actually do them. Maybe I want to impress her with my interesting life style and passion for life. Or maybe deep down the intoxicating smell of perfume is like an adrenaline rush that pushes me all the way towards a home run.
Like anyone else, I have my hopes and dreams; sitting on a beach in Malibu reading a couple reviews about my best-selling novel before driving in my McLaren F1 to go teach a seminar on how to live a fulfilling, positive life. I’ve never understood my appeal towards success coaches. There’s something about Tony Robbins that makes me want to both punch him in the face and be him at the same time.
But what is it about people like Kanye West, Timothy Ferris, Steve Jobs and (God forbid) Oprah that separates their success from others? Hard work. That incessant drive to carve your own reality and keep doing what you’re doing until it’s done.
It’s a hell of a lot easier to write than it is to do. But it’s definitely a lot more fulfilling. After all, everybody loves a challenge.
