    Natural Cures

Amongst all of nature’s wonderful creations, the most powerful of them are.. lemons?

I’m a sucker for natural health. If any of you have ever read “The Four-Hour Body” or “Natural Cure’s They Don’t Want You To Know About,” you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about when I say that you are what you eat. Especially at university, we can get so caught up eating easy-to-make processed foods that we lose sight of the proper nutrients we’re putting in our body. That’s why I love lemons.

Sweet. Tasty. Citrusy. Delicious. Put a few drops in your water every day and you’re on the fast track to a full body cleanse. Here’s why.

Vitamin C: Packed inside the juice of the soft yellow fruit is tons of vitamin C. In the winter season, colds and flus transfer around and it’s easy to get sick. Having a regular dose of Vit C will boost your immune system and keep that nasty stuffed up nose away.

Potassium: Ever wonder why body builders like to eat a banana after a workout? Potassium! This mineral helps build protein in your system and replaces the electrolytes lost from sweating.

Antioxidants: Lemons contain high levels of antioxidants that will help ward off sickness, cancer, and what Kevin Trudeau generally calls “dis-ease.” (Get the pun?) This will also help with skin care. Put a few drops of lemon juice into your water every day. After a week, tell me you haven’t seen an improvement with your acne.

Weight Loss: Often people can’t lose weight because their body is so clogged up with chemicals and poor diet. Lemons will give you a natural detox throughout your entire body, helping to rejuvenate the liver and get your body back into fighting shape.

So next time you’re at the grocery store, pick up a few lemons, or even a bottle of natural lemon juice. Sprinkle a food drops into your daily glasses of water and you’ll notice amazing results. Speaking from personal experience, I love a glass of lemon water after a work out not just to clench my undying thirst, but get all the amazing benefits.

Worried about the juice staining your teeth? Well, you’d have to be guzzling lemons by the bushel to have that happen. But if you’re still concerned, here’s a tip: Drink with a straw!

Nature is full of so many great secrets.
